• Validity Period for China Eastern Airlines Free Ticket Awards
  Validity period of for Free Ticket Awards is one year from the date of travel and the reward must be completely used within the validity period.
  
  
• Notes to China Eastern Airlines Free Ticket Awards
  1. The redeemed award ticket shall be based on designated subclass, i.e. A for First Class, D for Business Class, I for Economy Class award ticket.
  2. When redeeming award ticket, you must confirm journey, flight, date and class. Before traveling, you must make reservation and cannot waitlist in the airport.
  3. Award ticket should be used according to jounney sequence.
  4. When redeeming the award tickets in Areas A-B, A-C and A-D, the journey for starting from one area to another one and returning to the initial departure area is allowed to contain ground transport open jaw within the area, including Origin Open Jaw, Turnaround Open Jaw and Double Open Jaw. Refer to round trip standard for the points required for redeeming free ticket of open jaw.
  Origin Open Jaw: Initial departure location for going and return destination are different cities in the same area, such as Shanghai-Tokyo-Beijing.
  Turnaround Open Jaw: Destination for going and initial departure location for return are different cities in the same area, such as Shanghai-Seoul//Tokyo-Shanghai
  Double Open Jaw: Initial departure location for going and return destination are different cities in the same area, meanwhile destination for going and initial departure location for return are also different cities in the same area, such as Shanghai-Paris//Sydney-Shanghai.
  5. If the classes for round trip are different, the points required are the total of a half for each class.
  6. The award ticket is subject to the member being responsible for concerned taxes and fees.
  7. Once issued, the award ticket is non-fundable.
  8. The award ticket will not be supplemented once it is lost.
  
  
• Changes to Award Ticket
  1．Permitted
  Changes to flight number and date are permitted if the reservation for new flight is confirmed before boarding and unless the flight sectors are not changed.
  2．Not Permitted
  Once the award ticket is issued, the traveler’s name, class of service, and flight operator cannot be changed.
  The award ticket is not allowed for class upgrade through paying cash or point redemption.
