Currently the merger of China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines are being carried out as scheduled in an orderly manner, because the merger of frequent flyer program involves a series of issues covering systems of both sides, and the account numbers of both sides, which require system evaluation and support, therefore at the present stage we just offer the alignment of VIP benefits of frequent flyer gold and silver membership of China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines.
Starting from March 16, 2010, China Eastern Airlines and Shanghai Airlines will mutually recognize each other’s gold and silver membership, China Eastern Airlines Long card gold and silver membership of Eastern Miles and VIP membership of Crane Club, the above card holders can enjoy extra VIP benefits when taking flights bearing “MU” or “FM” flight code which are actually operated by China Eastern Airlines or Shanghai Airlines.

Note ①: When gold card membership are taking international flight Economy Class of Shanghai Airlines at Pudong Airport, they can only enter international flight Business Class lounge of Shanghai Airlines.
